We build the security we wanted when we were the operators

Defneo is the security and compliance platform built by Vault Apps, a Romanian software company based in Ploiești. It runs on your own infrastructure and turns protection, monitoring and compliance evidence into one system that checks itself.

Where we started

Vault Apps was founded in 2017 as a software development agency: custom applications, ERP integrations, data warehouses and, more recently, AI agents. For years we operated real web applications, with real traffic and real attacks.

Defneo grew out of our own needs as operators: a reverse proxy with IDS/IPS, monitoring, asset inventory and one place where NIS2 evidence collects itself, instead of ten separate tools that never talk to each other.

The principles we build by

  • Your data stays with you

    Defneo runs on-premise. Traffic, logs and evidence never leave your infrastructure; any sharing (community signals, for instance) is an option you switch on.

  • Honesty before green

    What cannot be measured shows as "unavailable", never as zero. A score that looks good but is not proven is more dangerous than a low one.

  • Evidence, not declarations

    Controls are proven from the running systems: certificates, backups, detections, training. The auditor sees the date, the source and who decided.

  • No magic promises

    Defneo does not "make you compliant" and does not replace your IT team. It gives you one picture, blocks what can be blocked and keeps every deadline.
